- Farm scene with animals - close up
The exhibition at the Takapuna Library was our best yet. Over 90 paintings hung on our new screens. Thanks to Chris Ashton for arranging for their purchase and to Joanne and her helpers for arranging the exhibition. If you know of another venue who would welcome a display/exhibition of watercolour paintings, please let Jo or me know (email@example.com)
Unfortunately few people were challenged by "a butcher's window", but many were enthralled by Jean Sullivan's experiences in Tasmania with Amanda Highet and with Ginette Wang's Chinese painting demonstration. Thanks to Roy for chairing the meeting.
We are preparing a "Beginners Manual" which can be used by any teacher of watercolour painting. The purpose of it to encourage beginners to buy the right materials for watercolour painting and so give them and their teachers a flying start. If you would like to see a draft and have some input please contact Joanne. We hope to publish it in September this year. We will probably list active teachers in an appendix. If you would like to be listed, please contact Joanne.
We have a Saturday workshop with Dennis Clark on 4 July at the Glenfield Hall and two more later in the year.
Enjoy your painting

Thanks to all involved. Special thanks to Juliet Dunning for donating her entire proceeds from the sale of her painting to Vanuatu and indeed thank you everyone who sold and donated 20% to Vanuatu. About $400 will go to Vanuatu.
