It is important that members respond positively to this as it is a very easy way of promoting themselves and the art of water colour painting. Jackie Pearson has a recent work on the front cover and an article (3 pages )in it with many works included. An excellent start.
Gavin (gavinfl@xtra.co.nz) Chairman's ColumnBy now the Christmas holidays are long forgotten and you are looking forward to another very active year. Planning your 2014 portfolio is well advanced and opportunities for exhibiting are on the calendar. So it is for the AWS. Our year is going to be very busy. Our February meeting got us off to a great start with a tidy profit being made from the sale of a mountain of watercolour materials. Thanks to Chris Ashton for taking the initiative. It was an honour to have our President Brian Millard with us and give the encouraging comments to members who brought their interpretation of "tools of trade". David Szeto's presentation was a surprise to us all . His attention to detail reflects his former life as an architect. Thanks to Ken Garrett for spying him out for us.
